Μάρω Μαρκέλλου
Μάρω Μαρκέλλου (Maro Markellou) (born in 1985 in Loutraki) is a Greek indie-pop singer-songwritter. She started learning guitar when she was a teenager and in 2003 she started recording her songs in her laptop. While working in a bar in Loutraki she meets a musician and they decide to participate with one of her compositions in the Musical Festival of Thessaloniki. Their entry was unsuccessful but Foivos Delivorias hears the song and proposes Maro to participate in his performances with her own songs. So since November of 2007 she has been singing in various music stages (Ζυγός, Κύτταρο) and touring around Greece. Her song “Scrooge Mc Duck” became widely known when it was played in an episode of the tv-series “Υπέροχα Πλάσματα”. In December 2008 her début album called “Κορίτσι Για Σπίτι” was released featuring 11 tracks with acoustic sound and humoristic lyrics. Read more on Last.fm.
